Founded by Gina Hooper, Hooper Legacy Services was built from a passion for strengthening the future of funeral service through practical support, education, and workforce development.

With approximately 15 years of experience across a variety of roles and organizational structures within the profession, Gina has worked closely with funeral homes, crematories, educational facilities, and funeral service professionals throughout California. She holds a Master’s degree in Thanatology, a Bachelor’s degree in Funeral Service Education, and multiple California funeral service licenses, combining operational experience with a strong focus on leadership, education, and long-term sustainability within the profession.

Since 2017, Gina has provided operational and consulting support to funeral establishments navigating staffing challenges, growth, compliance concerns, training needs, and day-to-day operational demands. Through that work, one issue became increasingly clear: the California funeral profession is facing growing workforce shortages, limited access to quality educational pathways, and increasing operational demands — creating an urgent need for both immediate industry support and long-term workforce development.

Today, Hooper Legacy Services focuses on comprehensive support for the profession — helping organizations manage current operational realities while also working to strengthen the future workforce pipeline. This includes supporting funeral homes and crematories with practical operational guidance, staff development, training, and organizational support, while actively participating in the development of accessible funeral service education and training opportunities for the next generation entering the field.
